Dolomites
I think I wasn’t even a month old the first time my parents took me here. I was born during a very warm and humid Italian summer and as soon as we could we run to our holiday house to find some refreshment and tranquillity.
I love it in the summer when I go hiking or picking mushrooms and throw legendary barbecue parties for my friends and family. I love it in winter, when I go skiing and host the best New Year’s parties of the valley (to be fair the credit goes mostly to my sister and my friends). But I love it also off season, when the crowd goes back in the cities and you get to experience the true essence of the mountains.
It is the place where I run when I need to decompress and relax a little bit, where I get healed when I’m feeling a little bit down, where I have the very best memories with my family and my friends. The Dolomites are basically my home, because in the end, as the say…
“Home is where you heart is”
